Text and data

Made for typing and pasting

A file tool waits for you to add files and press a button. These tools work on text, which is small, so they answer as you type: change a character and the result changes with it. Small text is worked on in the same frame as your keystroke, larger text in the background so the page stays responsive, and text above 100,000 characters waits for you to press Run.

You can also open a text file or drop one on the page, copy the result, or save it as a file.

Where your text goes

Nowhere. The text is worked on in the page, on your device, and it is not saved. It is not put in the address of the page either, so copying a tool’s link never shares what you typed. Close the tab and it is gone.

Looking for something for files? The image, PDF and audio tools work the same way, on your device.

Questions, answered

Which text and data tools are there?

The JSON formatter and validator, with JSON to CSV and JSON to YAML, is the first. More tools for text and data join this page as they are ready, and this list is made from the tools themselves.

Why is there no button to press?

Text is small and quick to work on, so these tools show the result as you type. Large text, above 100,000 characters, waits for a Run button so that typing never freezes the page.

Is the text I paste sent anywhere?

No. It is worked on inside the page, on your device, and not saved. It is never put in the address of the page either, so a link to a tool shares nothing you typed.
