Will converting WebP to PNG reduce quality?
No. PNG is lossless, so the converted file keeps every pixel of your WebP exactly.
Will the PNG be smaller than the WebP?
Usually not: PNG is lossless and keeps every pixel, so expect a larger file. You’ll see the exact size of every file before you download it, and you can lower the quality or resize to bring it down.
What happens to transparent backgrounds?
They stay transparent. PNG supports transparency with smooth edges, so logos, icons and cut-outs convert cleanly.
Are animated WebPs supported?
Not yet. For animated WebP files, ToolHero converts the first frame into a still PNG. Animation support is on our list.
Can I convert lots of WebP files at once?
